Match Recap
Atletico-MG ground out a narrow but valuable win at home, breaking down RB Bragantino through Bernard's 18th-minute strike and making it stand up for the rest of the night. It was enough to settle a tight Serie A clash between two sides sitting close together in the table, with Atletico-MG's 40 points and eighth place now looking a touch more secure than Bragantino's 36 and tenth. The head-to-head has been even between these two, with Atletico-MG holding just a slender edge in their last five meetings, two wins to two, so this one edges the recent ledger further in the home side's favor. Bragantino, winless in four of their last five before snapping that run against someone else, pushed for an equalizer but couldn't find the finish they needed. Bernard's goal was simple in design but decisive in effect, the kind of early strike that forces an opponent to chase the game for ninety minutes. Catch the moment Bernard broke the deadlock, and see exactly how Atletico-MG managed to keep Bragantino at arm's length all night, in the highlights.
