FC Luzern 5–1 Grasshoppers

Daniel Mikołajewski didn't just score, he ran the show, bagging a hat-trick as FC Luzern tore Grasshoppers apart 5-1 in the Super League. Tyron Owusu and Oscar Kabwit Tshikomb had already put the hosts 2-0 up inside nine minutes, and Mikołajewski turned a comfortable lead into a rout with strikes in the 60th, 73rd and 86th minutes. Samuele Bengondo's 76th-minute reply for Grasshoppers barely registered as anything more than a footnote in a genuine goal fest, six goals in total, and Luzern's third straight win over this opponent in as many meetings. Both sides had arrived level on points and games played, but there was nothing even about this one. Luzern climbed with a result that will sting Grasshoppers far more than the table suggests, especially with league top scorer C. Fassnacht watching a rival edge into hat-trick territory. Want to see all three Mikołajewski strikes, including the 86th-minute finish that sealed the demolition? The highlights are below.
