Match Recap
Four straight Major League Soccer losses had Columbus Crew looking like a side in freefall, but on Saturday night they offered a very different answer. The Crew dismantled a Colorado Rapids outfit sitting eight points above them in the table, winning 3-0 in a performance that was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests. Santiago Rodriguez set the tone early, finishing in the 22nd minute to give Columbus a lead they never looked like surrendering. Colorado, who had won two of their last three, found no way back into it. Gonzalo Tapia killed the game with his 81st-minute goal, and Taha Habroune put the final stamp on a dominant night four minutes into stoppage time. For a Crew side that had managed just one win from their previous five games, this was the kind of evening that changes a locker room's mood entirely. Habroune's 90+4 strike is right there waiting for you in the highlights.
