Match Recap
Josh Sargent's hat-trick wasn't enough to win the match, and neither was Chicago Fire's three-goal reply — Toronto FC and the third-place Fire shared eight goals in a Major League Soccer draw that twisted right up to the final seconds. Sargent put Toronto ahead in the 27th minute, doubled up before half-time, then completed the treble in the 54th to give the hosts a 3-2 lead. Chicago had other ideas: Maren Haile-Selassie, who had opened the scoring in the 13th, pulled level twice, and Robert Lewandowski made it 4-3 for the Fire in the 63rd. The visitors, sitting third in MLS with 38 points and still unbeaten across their last two fixtures against Toronto, looked like they had stolen three points. Then Derrick Etienne Jr. hit the net in the second minute of stoppage time and turned everything upside down. Watch that 90+2 equalizer and decide if Etienne or Sargent owned the night.
