Monterrey 6–1 FC Juarez

Six goals, five different scorers, and FC Juarez left the Estadio BBVA with nothing to show for it. Monterrey turned this Liga MX fixture into a procession before halftime, with L. Orellano striking in the 6th minute, D. Rossi doubling the lead at 15, and H. Cuypers adding a third before the half-hour mark. O. Estupinan pulled one back for the visitors at 32 minutes, but O. Pineda's stoppage-time finish on the stroke of halftime ended any lingering hope of a comeback, making it 4-1 at the break. L. Ocampos extended the rout on 62 minutes, and J. Rodriguez sealed it with practically the last touch of the match at 90+2. Juarez, still without a point from four Liga MX games, ran into the worst possible opposition: a Monterrey side with nine points from four matches and unbeaten in both previous meetings between these clubs. Estupinan, the sixth-ranked scorer in Liga MX with 16 goals, was the only bright spot in blue, and his finish is well worth your attention amid the carnage.
