Cadiz 0–1 Sporting Gijon

Cadiz had chances to settle this one, but Sporting Gijon snatched it in the cruelest way, Pablo García breaking the deadlock in the 87th minute to send the visitors home with all three points. There was no goal for anyone to see until that strike, and then suddenly the Segunda División table shifted: Sporting climb to eighth on 13 points off two wins, while Cadiz stay stuck in the relegation zone at 20th with just a single win in five and a form line reading WDLLL that tells its own grim story. For a home side desperate to arrest a slide, conceding in the final minutes is about as painful as it gets. Sporting Gijon, meanwhile, keep pace in a division where Miguel de la Fuente currently tops the scoring charts, even if García's name isn't on that list yet. Cadiz will need to find answers fast before the gap at the bottom turns into a chasm. Watch how García ghosts in at the back post to break Cadiz hearts in the 87th minute, the goal that decided this whole match.
