Bahrain 2–5 Yemen

Yemen came from behind to blitz Bahrain, turning an early Bahraini lead into a 5-2 rout in the Gulf Cup of Nations. A. Humood Al Dosari put Bahrain ahead inside six minutes, but Yemen answered with four goals before the break, from N. Al Gahwashi, A. Al Matari, R. Al Wasmani and A. Abbas, to flip the match on its head. A. Madan pulled one back for Bahrain after the hour, but Al Wasmani wasn't finished, adding his second in stoppage time to seal a one-sided demolition. Four of the scorers, Al Wasmani, Abbas, Al Matari and Humood Al Dosari, now sit inside the league's top ten scorers, with Al Wasmani's brace pushing him further up that list. Neither side can find a win so far, both still without a point after two games, but Yemen leave with the goal difference and the momentum. Seven goals, a stoppage-time double and a total collapse for Bahrain's defense, watch every one of them in the highlights below.
