Match Recap
Neymar did not just score twice, he dragged Santos back from the dead. Flamengo looked set to cruise after Danilo Luiz da Silva put them ahead right before the break and Lucas Paquetá doubled it in the final seconds of the first half, a gut punch that seemed to settle the contest at Vila Belmiro. Instead, Santos's captain answered alone, pulling one back in the 82nd minute before snatching a dramatic equalizer in the 88th to make it 2-2. The draw barely dents Flamengo's grip on the Serie A table, where they sit top on 60 points off a five-game winning run, while Santos, unbeaten in five themselves, climb to eighth. History favored the visitors too, having won two of the last three meetings between these sides. Kaio Jorge still leads the league's scoring charts, but on this night it was Neymar who stole the headlines. Watch his 88th-minute leveler land to see exactly how Santos ripped a point away from the league leaders.
