Match Recap
Thierry Gale's double powered Barbados to a lopsided 4-1 demolition of Bermuda in the CONCACAF Nations League, but it didn't start that way. Bermuda struck first through Djair Parfitt Williams in the 8th minute, and for a moment the visitors looked set to steal it. Barbados had other ideas. Gale leveled things in the 26th, Andreas Applewhaite put the hosts in front three minutes later, and Gale added his second right before the break to turn a nervy scoreline into a rout. Niall Stephen Reid capped the five-goal afternoon in the 86th minute, sealing a result that never looked in doubt once Barbados found their rhythm. Gale now sits level with the league's top scorer on four goals, and this performance shows exactly why. From a shaky start to a statement win, Barbados turned this one on its head in barely fifteen minutes. Watch how Gale's second goal, scored on the stroke of halftime, changed the entire complexion of the match in the video highlights below.
