Match Recap
Samuel Kalu bookended a ruthless afternoon for Botev Plovdiv, striking twice as they tore First League strugglers Septemvri Sofia apart 3-0 on the road. Alberto Tajero Saido had already set the tone in the 26th minute, and Kalu doubled down with goals in the 54th and 75th to turn a promising home fixture into a one-sided demolition. Septemvri had won their previous two league games and sit tenth on eight points from five, but this result stalls that momentum cold, while Botev's win moves them up to sixth on 13 points despite a bumpy recent run. It also extends an unhappy head-to-head pattern for Septemvri, who remain winless against Botev after their only previous meeting. Kalu's second goal, arriving in the 75th minute to put the game beyond doubt, is the one worth rewinding for: catch every Botev strike from this rout in the highlights below.
