Match Recap
De Arrascaeta rescued a point for Flamengo with seven minutes to go, cancelling out Djorkaeff Reascos' first-half strike to leave CONMEBOL Libertadores group leaders Flamengo and Independiente del Valle level at 1-1. Reascos put the Ecuadorian side ahead in the 31st minute, finishing off a spell of pressure that had Flamengo on the back foot, only for de Arrascaeta to level things up in the 83rd and deny Independiente del Valle what would have been a statement road win. Both clubs arrive at this fixture in fine form, Flamengo unbeaten across their last five (WWDWW) and Independiente del Valle winning four of their own five despite one blip, and the draw does little to separate them at the top of their table. It also extends Flamengo's perfect head-to-head record against these opponents. Reascos' strike came from nothing and de Arrascaeta's leveller arrived with the clock running down, so watch how Flamengo force the equaliser in the final ten minutes.
