Match Recap

Mauritius led early through S. De Robillard inside six minutes, but Sri Lanka answered twice before the half, with R. Suresh and N. Senthurvasan turning the scoreline on its head by the 40th. S. Durrant extended the lead after the break, and when F. Aurelien pulled one back for Mauritius in the 80th it set up a nervy finish, but the comeback held and Sri Lanka closed it out 3-2 in this Friendlies clash. Five goals, two changes of lead, and a result that flips the earlier head-to-head, where Mauritius had won their only previous meeting between the sides. Neither side carries a league leader like Lautaro Martínez's current scoring pace into games like this, but on the night it was Sri Lanka's depth that told, scoring in three separate bursts across both halves. For a match that swung twice and still had a grandstand finish, the highlights are worth it just to see Aurelien's 80th-minute strike almost force extra drama Mauritius couldn't quite complete.
