Enyimba 2–0 Plateau United

Enyimba finally found their footing at home, but the bigger story is Plateau United's quiet consistency on the road. Ihemekwele broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, and Ezinna sealed it with 20 minutes left, giving Enyimba just their second win in five NPFL games and their first league victory since a WDLLL run that had them sitting 19th. Plateau United arrived unbeaten in their last three and sitting fourth with 11 points, and they'll leave Enyimba having lost ground despite that form, though history already favored the hosts, who beat Plateau United in their only previous meeting. Neither side boasts a name from the division's scoring charts, where V. Mbaoma leads with 13, but Enyimba didn't need star power, just two well-timed strikes to end a miserable run. For a struggling side scraping for points near the bottom, this was the kind of result that changes a season's tone. Watch how Ihemekwele's opener and Ezinna's late insurance goal unfolded in the full highlights below.
