Match Recap
Younes Ebnoutalib fired Eintracht Frankfurt into a commanding lead with a hat-trick that included back-to-back goals in the 10th and 11th minutes, then added a third at 67 to make it 3-1 and seemingly put the Bundesliga points beyond reach. Union Berlin had other ideas. Emmanuel Latte Lath had given the hosts a third-minute lead, but Ebnoutalib's blitz turned the game on its head before half-time. Leopold Querfeld pulled one back in the 79th minute to set up a frantic finish, and Tim Skarke completed the comeback with an equalizer deep into stoppage time, rescuing a 3-3 draw that keeps Union unbeaten against Frankfurt across their last two meetings. Both clubs open the Bundesliga season on one point apiece, with neither side able to claim the bragging rights. Ebnoutalib's double in consecutive minutes is remarkable in its own right, but Skarke's 90+2 finish is the moment worth hitting play for.
