Match Recap
Maghreb Fès did the damage early and made it count. Within 12 minutes of each other, A. El Mahraoui and T. Mabasa put the visitors 2-0 up on the road against Hassania Agadir, turning the Botola Pro clash on its head before halftime. I. Riahi's strike on 56 minutes gave Agadir hope and briefly set up a grandstand finish, but Maghreb Fès held on for a 2-1 win. It's revenge of sorts: Hassania Agadir lost the only previous meeting between these two on record, and this result extends that frustration. Both sides sit level on three points after one game, but it's Maghreb Fès who climb to sixth while Agadir settle for fourth with the tougher lesson learned. Neither team has a man among the league's top ten scorers yet, with S. Benjdida's 14 goals still out in front of the chasing pack. The real drama, though, is in those two early strikes that blindsided Agadir inside the first 40 minutes. Watch how Mabasa's 39th-minute finish sealed the damage before Riahi's reply even had a chance.
