Match Recap
Leonel Flores bookends a brace either side of stoppage time as Boca Juniors tear Union Santa Fe apart in a one-sided Liga Profesional Argentina demolition at home. Lautaro Di Lollo got the rout started in the 22nd minute, and once Flores doubled his tally in the 83rd, Boca kept pushing until he struck again in the 90+2nd to seal the 3-0 scoreline. It is a result that fits the table: Boca sit second with 30 points and a WWDWD run, while Union Santa Fe, eighth on 21, arrived having won three of their last five but could not find an answer. History played its part too, Boca had failed to beat Union Santa Fe in either of their last two meetings, both draws, so snapping that streak with a performance this emphatic will sting the visitors even more. None of the night's scorers crack the league's current top ten, where C. Tarragona still leads the race, but Flores just made his case. Watch how he turns a routine lead into a statement, goal by goal, in the highlights below.
