Match Recap
Eighteen frantic minutes in the second half produced all four goals as Alverca and Estrela da Amadora fought out a 2-2 draw in the Primeira Liga. Estrela broke the deadlock through L. Antonetti on 51 minutes, but Alverca hit back with two rapid strikes: Ian Luccas levelled on 58 and V. Semedo nudged the hosts ahead just four minutes later. It looked like a precious first win for a side sitting 14th with a single point, but A. Marcus restored parity for Estrela on 69 to deny them. Estrela, who have now drawn both of their opening league games, remain unbeaten and collect a second successive point. The two clubs also shared the spoils in their only previous Primeira Liga meeting, and this latest chapter followed the same script. Semedo's 62nd-minute finish, the goal that briefly made Alverca winners, is the one that will sting longest.
