Match Recap
Mārtiņš Kigurs needed just twelve minutes to settle this one, striking in the 76th and 88th to send Rīgas FS past Tukums 2-0 in Virsliga. The league leaders, unbeaten in five with a WWDWD run, barely needed the extra gear, but Kigurs supplied it anyway, turning a tense, scoreless night into a routine win with two late strikes. For Tukums, ninth with just one win in their last five, it extends a miserable head-to-head record, now 0-3 against Rīgas FS in their last three meetings without so much as a draw to show for it. The top of the Virsliga scoring charts still belongs to M. Badamosi on 22, and Kigurs isn't threatening that tally yet, but his double here was enough to decide the match on its own. Rīgas FS stretch their grip on first place while Tukums' struggles deepen. Catch both of Kigurs' goals, the breakthrough in the 76th and the clincher in the 88th, in the highlights below.
