Match Recap
Altrincham and Notts County couldn't be separated over 90 minutes in this FA Cup tie, and it took a penalty shootout to settle it. Jacob Bedeau put the away side ahead after 28 minutes, only for Lucas Weaver to drag Altrincham level just before half-time. Lewis Banks turned the game on its head with a 59th-minute goal, giving the hosts the lead, but Callum Roberts had other ideas, firing Notts County back level in the 84th minute to force extra time and, ultimately, spot-kicks. Four goals, two momentum swings, and still nothing in it when the final whistle blew, this one had everything but a winner in normal time. Neither side's name sits among the league's current scoring charts, topped by M. Diarra on seven, but cup football doesn't care about league form, it cares about nerve. Watch how Banks's strike and Roberts's leveler flipped this tie twice before the shootout decided who goes through.
