Match Recap
Union St. Gilloise didn't just beat Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League, they dismantled them. Relebohile Mofokeng broke the deadlock after 17 minutes, Mateo Biondic doubled the lead right before the break, and Ondrej Kricfalusi put it out of reach just after the hour mark, turning a tense European night into a one-sided demolition. Plzen, sitting 27th with a lone win from two games, never found an answer to the visitors' movement, while Union St. Gilloise, still searching for their first points, announced themselves with maximum authority. None of the three scorers even cracks the league's top ten, where P. Stanic leads the charts with seven goals, which only makes this collective display more striking. Three different names on the scoresheet, three different moments where Plzen's back line simply stopped functioning. If you want to see exactly how a 0-3 road win gets built goal by goal, Kricfalusi's strike after the hour is where the rout truly clicked into place.
