Match Recap
Trailing inside 15 minutes at home, PSV Eindhoven turned to Sven Mijnans and never looked back. Milan Zonneveld had given Sparta Rotterdam a shock lead, but Mijnans levelled on 23 minutes and Kodai Sano added a second before half-time to flip the match on its head. The comeback became a statement. Mijnans struck again on 74 and then sealed his hat-trick two minutes from full time, completing a 4-1 win that sends PSV into the Eredivisie weekend on 13 points from five games, four of them victories. Sparta, who arrive with just one win from their opening five, had no answer once the hosts found their stride. It is only one meeting in recent memory between these sides, and PSV have now won both times they have crossed paths. Watch Mijnans collect the match ball, starting with the 88th-minute finish that killed the tie stone dead.
