Match Recap
G. Kvernadze was the architect of Frosinone's demolition job, opening and closing the scoring to drive his side to a commanding 4-1 Coppa Italia victory over Juve Stabia. The Georgian forward put Frosinone ahead in the 20th minute, and by the time Mattia Cichella added a second in the 29th and Antonio Raimondo made it three before half-time, the tie was already over as a contest. Lorenzo Candellone pulled one back for Juve Stabia two minutes after the restart, briefly threatening a response, but Kvernadze shut the door for good with his second of the evening on 71 minutes. The brace lifts Kvernadze into the top five of the Coppa Italia scoring charts, level with the competition's fourth-highest scorer. Four goals in the opening 38 minutes set the tone for an afternoon Frosinone's fans will want to relive — Kvernadze's opener and his clinical finish to seal it are well worth watching back.
