Match Recap
Jose Alvarado waited until the ninth minute of stoppage time to have the final word. Leon looked to have shut this one down when Francisco Nevarez broke the deadlock in the 76th minute, only for Oscar Estupiñan to drag FC Juarez level deep into injury time and threaten to steal a point. Alvarado's response was instant, snatching a 2-1 win for Leon in a Liga MX clash between two sides who had split their last two meetings evenly, one win apiece. For FC Juarez the sting runs deeper than the scoreline: sitting 18th with just three points and one win from five games, a WLLLL run that already reads like freefall, conceding the winner moments after leveling it themselves is about as low as it gets. Watch Alvarado's response land in the very last kick of the night, the goal that snapped Juarez's celebration before it even started.
