Match Recap
Christian Fassnacht needed just three minutes to turn a tense afternoon into a comfortable one. The Super League's reigning top scorer struck in the 52nd, right after Samuel Essende had broken the deadlock three minutes earlier, and BSC Young Boys suddenly had the game under control on their way to a 2-0 win at Grasshoppers. Essende pounced immediately after the restart, catching the home side flat-footed, before Fassnacht arrived to put it beyond doubt. It flips recent history on its head: Grasshoppers had gone unbeaten in their last two meetings with Young Boys, winning one and drawing the other. Not this time. The league table explains the gulf in confidence, Young Boys sit second with 19 points and a form run of WDDWD, while Grasshoppers are down in tenth on 8 after a shaky LLWDW. Watch the two goals that undid Grasshoppers inside three minutes after the break, with the division's top scorer putting his name on the second.
