Match Recap
Hakan Calhanoglu took just nine minutes to settle this one, and Inter barely had to shift out of second gear after that. The midfielder's early strike at the Unipol Domus gave the Nerazzurri a 1-0 Serie A win over Cagliari, three points from their opening game and a perfect beginning to their campaign. It is a familiar outcome for Cagliari, who have now lost both of their recent meetings with this opponent without taking a single point. Both clubs arrived on the back of opening-day victories, but Cagliari's early-season momentum counted for little once Inter clicked into gear before the Sardinian crowd had found their rhythm. With no response coming, Calhanoglu's ninth-minute effort proved more than enough. Watch the clip to see exactly how cleanly Inter carved through in those opening exchanges, and whether Cagliari ever truly threatened to drag themselves level.
