Match Recap
Kun Khalifat FC snapped a miserable run in the NPFL, edging Kwara United 1-0 despite arriving winless in five and sitting 19th on just two points. Kwara, sat comfortably eighth with 7 points from five games and a WLWLD run of form, looked the sturdier side on paper, but this fixture has never gone their way, Kun Khalifat won the only previous meeting between the two clubs too. History repeated itself, and this time it came with three points that matter far more to the strugglers than the league leader's chase, V. Mbaoma's 13-goal haul elsewhere in the division carried on regardless. No goal of the season contender here, just a single strike doing all the damage against a side that came in expecting more. For a team with as few wins as Kun Khalifat have managed this term, the goal that separated these two sides is worth watching back to see exactly how they finally got over the line.
