Telstar kept throwing punches, but Feyenoord had an answer for every one of them. Gaoussou Kyassou Diarra and Nacho Ferri put the visitors 2-0 up inside the opening half hour before Tyrone Owusu and Patrick Brouwer each hauled Telstar back within a goal, only for Sem Steijn to settle it, scoring twice, in the 32nd and again in the 57th minute, either side of a Brouwer reply. Noach Shenkman's 69th-minute strike made it 3-4, but Telstar never once led in an Eredivisie match that produced seven goals and no shortage of nerve. The context makes it sting more: Feyenoord sit top of the table on 20 points with four wins from five, while Telstar are mired in 15th with just six, and still haven't beaten this opponent in their last two meetings.
