Match Recap
Omonia Aradippou and Olympiakos shared the points in the 1. Division after cancelling each other out, 1-1. Olympiakos striker P. Kynigopoulos broke the deadlock just before the break, finishing in the 42nd minute, but Omonia hit back through G. Pontikos in the 68th, a goal that carries extra weight given Pontikos sits seventh in the league's scoring charts with nine strikes, behind leader R. Mmaee's 21. Neither side could find a winner from there. The draw nudges Omonia to fifth place on five points off three games, a solid return after a DWD run, while Olympiakos stay 11th on three points, still searching for their first win of the campaign despite an unbeaten DDD stretch. It also mirrors their recent head-to-head, level at one win apiece with a draw in their last two meetings. Pontikos's leveller, arriving with his side chasing the game, is the moment that decides how this one is remembered, so catch the goal that kept Omonia's unbeaten run alive in the video highlights above.
