Match Recap
Botev Plovdiv ended a miserable run against their city rivals on Sunday, claiming a 2-0 First League derby victory over Lokomotiv Plovdiv despite having failed to win any of their previous three meetings. Asen Chandarov settled nerves inside nine minutes, slotting home to give Botev an early platform, and Mauro Rodrigues made certain just before the break, finishing off a first half Lokomotiv simply could not live with. The result lifts Botev to 10 points after five games, their second win of the season arriving on the back of three straight defeats, while Lokomotiv are left on six points with only one victory all campaign and a form line that now reads four losses in a row. The fact that Botev had drawn and lost twice against this same opponent in recent memory makes the clean sheet even sharper. Pull up Rodrigues's 44th-minute finish and you will see exactly how a derby gets put to bed.
