Match Recap
Ivan Toney's brace bookends a one-sided demolition as Al-Ahli Jeddah tear apart Al Khaleej Saihat 4-1 in the Pro League. Toney opened the scoring in the 11th minute and closed it with a sixth-minute stoppage-time finish, sandwiching goals from Artem Bondarenko and Francisco Trincão either side of the hour mark that turned a lead into a rout. Al-Ahli Jeddah, fifth with 18 points and riding a WWWLW run, have now swept both recent meetings with Al Khaleej Saihat without dropping a point, and this one never looked in doubt even after Thamer Al-Khaibri's 87th-minute consolation briefly interrupted the procession. Toney, the league's reigning top scorer with 48 goals, barely needed to get out of first gear, and the gulf between the sides, Al-Ahli climbing while Al Khaleej Saihat sit tenth with four draws dragging on their form, showed in every attacking move. Five goals, two from the division's deadliest finisher, and a scoreline that flattered the away side. Watch how Toney curls in his second to seal the rout in the 96th minute.
