Match Recap
Bury looked in total control until the last minute, and that's almost the whole story. G. Glendon put the home side ahead inside seven minutes in this FA Cup tie, and M. Touray doubled the lead just after the hour to make it 2-0. Bromsgrove Sporting had given little sign of a reply all game, but O. Harrison snatched one back in the 90+1st minute, turning a comfortable scoreline into a nervy finish that Bury had to see out with the ball barely out of their own half. It wasn't enough to deny Bury the win, 2-1, but it was enough to put a scare into a side that had looked home and dry. Across the league, M. Diarra still sits top of the scoring charts with seven goals, a reminder of the standard these finishers are chasing. None of this match's scorers are there yet, but Glendon's early strike and Touray's response to the hour mark both deserve a replay, especially with Harrison's stoppage-time strike adding real tension to the closing seconds.
