FK Liepaja 0–0 BFC Daugavpils

FK Liepaja and BFC Daugavpils cancelled each other out, playing to a goalless draw in the Virsliga that left both benches with plenty to say and nothing on the scoreboard. Liepaja arrived in better shape, sitting fourth on 42 points with two wins from their last five, while Daugavpils came in fifth on 38 with only one win in that stretch, but a point apart on form counted for little once kickoff came. Their head-to-head history gave Daugavpils the edge, with two wins from the last three meetings against Liepaja's one, and that recent dominance may explain why the away side seemed content to hold firm rather than chase the game. League top scorer M. Badamosi, sitting on 20 goals, was nowhere near this one, and neither side could find a breakthrough despite the stakes in a tight mid-table race. No goals, no cards for the record here, just ninety minutes of stalemate. Watch the highlights below to see how two of the Virsliga's form sides fought to a standstill and couldn't break the deadlock.
