Oman 3–1 Kuwait

Oman looked in trouble inside six minutes as S. Al Khaldi put Kuwait ahead, but this Gulf Cup of Nations clash turned into the Nasser Al Rawahi show. The Oman striker leveled the scoreline and then struck again in the 81st minute to complete his brace, before M. Al Shaqsy added a third three minutes later to turn a nervy afternoon into a 3-1 comeback win. Al Rawahi now sits alone atop the tournament's scoring charts with three goals, and his double lifted Oman to third in the table while Kuwait, still searching for their first points after two games, drop to fourth with back-to-back defeats. Neither side arrived with much form behind them, but Oman's response after conceding first said everything about the character in this squad. Kuwait will need to regroup quickly. For Oman, it's the Al Rawahi double and Al Shaqsy's late strike that turned this from a setback into a statement, watch how the momentum flipped in the second half and see both of Al Rawahi's finishes in the highlights below.
