Polonia Warszawa 2–1 Korona Kielce

Polonia Warszawa did the damage either side of the break to knock Korona Kielce out of the Cup. M. Pieczek put the hosts ahead in the 27th minute, and K. Kostorz doubled the lead three minutes into the second half before Korona even had a chance to settle. D. Bak pulled one back for Kielce just three minutes later, and his strike carries extra weight: he sits sixth on the league's scoring charts with two goals already, trailing only the current leader, W. Jakubik, who tops the table with four. That reply in the 51st minute made for a tense finish, but Polonia's two-goal cushion from Pieczek and Kostorz proved enough to see out the Cup tie. Three goals in 24 minutes, a share of them from one of the league's hottest finishers, and a scoreline that stayed nervy to the final whistle. Watch how Kostorz's early second-half strike changed the complexion of this one, and see exactly how Bak's effort crept back into contention.
