Match Recap

A.Malanda's 88th-minute strike snatched a point Middlesbrough looked to have thrown away, capping a wild Championship afternoon at St Andrew's. Max Arfsten had put Boro ahead right on the stroke of half-time, but Birmingham roared back inside four minutes early in the second half as Liam Millar levelled and Riley McGree turned it around by the 59th minute. Middlesbrough, third in the table off the back of a DWWDW run, looked set to slip up against a Birmingham side sitting 13th, until Malanda's late intervention rescued a 2-2 draw. It continued an uncomfortable pattern for Birmingham against this opponent, having lost their only previous meeting. Four goals, two changes of lead, and a stoppage-adjacent leveller that swung the momentum right at the death, this Championship clash had every twist a fan could want. Watch how Malanda ghosted in at the back post to break Birmingham hearts in the 88th minute, and see both McGree and Millar's quickfire strikes that briefly had St Andrew's believing all three points were coming home.
