Al-Fateh 1–3 Al Shabab

Ali Al-Bulaihi did it twice, and Al Shabab made it count. The defender's brace either side of half-time turned a tight Pro League contest into a comfortable away win, with Ricardo Mathias opening the scoring in the 17th minute before Al-Bulaihi struck in the 31st and again in the 54th. Al-Fateh's only reply came from Lukáš Haraslín in the 40th, a goal that briefly hinted at a way back but never threatened the eventual 1-3 scoreline. The result lifts Al Shabab to 8 points and 13th, continuing a mixed DWDLL run, while Al-Fateh stay down in 16th on 6 points after a fifth straight winless league outing that reads LWLLL. The two sides had split their last two meetings evenly, so this was the away team's statement result in the series. For Al-Fateh, it's another afternoon of frustration at home; for Al Shabab, a defender grabbing two goals is the kind of story worth seeing unfold. Catch both of Al-Bulaihi's strikes, plus Mathias's opener, in the highlights below.
