Plaza Amador 4–1 Herrera

Plaza Amador turned the Estadio Maracaná into a one-sided affair on Sunday, putting four past Herrera to cement their place at the top of the Liga Panameña de Fútbol. J. Murillo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, with E. Rose doubling the lead just seven minutes later to give the league leaders full control before halftime. A. Aguilar pulled one back for Herrera on 44 minutes to offer brief hope, but H. Rios snuffed it out ten minutes into the second half, making it 4-1 and ending any contest. Murillo, now third in the golden boot race with 11 goals, and Rios, sitting fifth with nine, both padded their tallies against a Herrera side that has taken three points from their last five games. Plaza Amador — 31 points, unbeaten in their last two, never lost to this opponent — are setting the pace in Panama. Watch Rios put the match to bed in the 55th minute and see exactly why nobody is catching this team right now.
