Match Recap
Vasco da Gama handed fifth-placed Cruzeiro a rare setback, grinding out a 3-1 victory at home in Serie A to move to 25 points and ease some of the pressure that has been building around their season. Tche Tche broke the deadlock on 33 minutes, and Lucas Freitas doubled the advantage ten minutes into the second half, giving Vasco a cushion they would not surrender. Cruzeiro, who had won four of their last five, could not find a way back, and David made it three in stoppage time before Felipe Morais pulled one back for the visitors at 90+5 — far too late to matter. Vasco's unbeaten record against Cruzeiro in their last two meetings holds, with a win and a draw, and now they have added a third without defeat. It's David's 90+2 strike, killing the game stone dead, that you'll want to see.
