Match Recap
Gent brought four wins from their last five Jupiler Pro League games and 16 points to the table, but they could not get past Genk. Momodou Sonko had the visitors ahead inside ten minutes, and for a while it looked like another straightforward three points for the second-placed side. Rafiu Durosinmi had different plans. He leveled for Genk two minutes into the second half, earning his side a share of the spoils that, given the head-to-head record, felt almost inevitable: across their last three meetings, Genk have not lost to Gent once, picking up a win and two draws. For a Genk side that had managed only two wins in five games, holding the league's form team to a 1-1 draw is no embarrassment at all. Watch Durosinmi's finish in the 47th minute and decide whether Gent's goalkeeper ever had a chance of keeping it out.
