Match Recap
C. Awaziem did something Genclerbirligi's attackers haven't managed all season: score twice in one afternoon. His double, in the 43rd and 56th minutes, gave Konyaspor a 2-0 win and snapped a wait that had seen them win only once in their last five Süper Lig outings. For Genclerbirligi, it's a fifth straight match without a victory, a slide that leaves their form reading LDLLL even as they sit just one place and three points above Konyaspor in the table. The head-to-head tells its own story too: Konyaspor have now won the only meeting on record between these two sides. Nobody from the league's scoring charts, not even leader E. Shomurodov, needed to show up, a defender settled this one instead. Watch how Awaziem, a centre-back by trade, finds himself twice in the right place to turn a mid-table scrap into his own personal highlight reel.
