Match Recap
Alianza Atletico had to come from behind to beat Comerciantes Unidos 2-1 in the Primera División, and the way it turned around says a lot about where these two sides are heading. Jean Olivares put the visitors ahead inside ten minutes, but Jairo Molina leveled things by the 19th and Cristian Penilla settled it early in the second half with a strike in the 56th. It's a result that fits the form guide: Alianza Atletico arrived on a run of three straight wins and sit eighth on 37 points, while Comerciantes Unidos, 14th with 30, have won just once in their last five. There's a wrinkle of revenge in it too, since Comerciantes Unidos took the reverse fixture in their only previous meeting. This time Alianza Atletico's response after falling behind was the difference, and Molina's leveler through to Penilla's winner is exactly the kind of two-goal turnaround that plays even better with the video than it does on the scoresheet.
