Foolad FC 2–1 Mes Shahr-e Babak

Foolad FC never let this one get away, holding off a late scare from Mes Shahr-e Babak to close out a 2-1 win in the Persian Gulf Pro League. M. Naderpour broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, and A. Jolani doubled the lead on the hour, only for Z. Niknafs to drag the visitors back into it with a goal in the 78th minute that turned the closing stretch tense. The result keeps Foolad ticking along in seventh with nine points from five games, their mixed WLDWD run now carrying two wins, while Mes Shahr-e Babak remain stuck in 17th on five points, still without a win this season after a DLDDD stretch. Neither scorer cracks the league's top ten, where E. Mahrooghi still leads with nine goals, but Naderpour's opener and Jolani's finish are exactly the kind of goals worth rewinding for.
