Match Recap
Malte Persson's stoppage-time strike did more than win three points, it capped a stunning turnaround for a Halmstad side sitting 16th with just one win in five games. Omar Faraj put the hosts ahead in the 48th minute, only for AIK Stockholm, eighth in Allsvenskan and sitting on three times Halmstad's points tally, to level through Johan Hove six minutes later. With the visitors' superior form and standing, a draw or even an away win looked the likelier outcome, but Persson had other ideas, drilling home in the 90th minute to seal a 2-1 win that few saw coming. It extends an even head-to-head record between the two sides, and it's a result Halmstad desperately needed near the foot of the table. Neither Faraj, Hove, nor Persson features among Allsvenskan's top ten scorers, a list still topped by K. Lien on 15, but this was never about the league's big names. It was about a 90th-minute winner that had Halmstad's home fans on their feet. Watch it here.
