Match Recap
T. Reyners bookended Lommel United's most convincing performance of the Jupiler Pro League season, opening the scoring in the 30th minute and sealing the deal with a cool finish in the 89th to hand his side a commanding 4-0 victory over KVC Westerlo. Schoofs added a sharp strike right on the stroke of half-time to make it 2-0, and Konadu put the tie completely to bed six minutes after the restart, leaving Westerlo no way back. The result couldn't have come at a better time for either side — Lommel climb to four points from three games on the back of their first win, while Westerlo remain rooted to the foot of the table without a point from three outings, their third successive defeat deepening the pressure on their camp. Every one of Reyners' two goals is worth watching on its own — but it's that 89th-minute finish, with the game long done and the forward still hungry, that tells you exactly what kind of afternoon this was for Lommel.
