Match Recap
Independiente struck inside seven minutes through Juan Migue Arrayago, only for San Lorenzo to level things up after the break and earn a share of the points in a tense Liga Profesional Argentina derby. Arrayago's early opener gave the hosts full control for the best part of an hour, but Facundo Farías restored parity in the 51st minute and San Lorenzo held firm from there. The result keeps both Buenos Aires clubs tightly packed in the table, Independiente fifth on 24 points and San Lorenzo seventh on 22, with identical five-game form strings of DWLDW that sum up how closely matched these two sides are right now. Independiente remain unbeaten across their last two meetings with San Lorenzo, winning one and drawing one, but this evening the points were shared. Farías's equalizer, scored just six minutes into the second half against a side that had looked so comfortable, is the goal you need to watch.
