Match Recap
Athletic Club and Alaves cancel each other out at San Mames, and neither keeper is troubled enough to change that. It's a result that suits Alaves more: they arrive in La Liga's mid-table with 10 points from five games and a recent run of LLWWD, while Athletic sit further back on 7 points after a shakier DWWLL stretch. History leans towards the hosts, who've won two of the last three meetings between these sides, but this time Alaves leave the Basque Country having stopped the rot. Kylian Mbappe remains La Liga's top scorer with 41 goals, a reminder of the finishing quality missing from this particular afternoon, as neither side found a way past a well-organised defense. Goalless doesn't mean eventless, though. Athletic pushed for a breakthrough that never came, and Alaves held firm to protect a point that nudges them up the table. Watch how both defenses stood their ground and see which team came closest to breaking the deadlock in the highlights.
