IFK Goteborg 1–0 Vasteras SK FK

IFK Goteborg made it five wins on the trot in Allsvenskan, and they didn't need long to settle this one. Noah Tolf struck in the 9th minute and that single goal was enough to see off Vasteras SK FK, who arrive on the back of a shakier LWWLW run despite sitting level on 35 points. It's the kind of start-fast, defend-the-lead performance that's become IFK Goteborg's calling card lately, and history was already on their side: they've won the only previous meeting between these two recorded here. With P. Abraham still out front as the league's top scorer on 16, Tolf's early strike won't trouble the golden boot race, but it didn't need to, it just needed to stand up for 90 minutes, and it did. Vasteras SK FK pushed for a leveler that never came, leaving IFK Goteborg to climb into the top half of the table on the strength of their form alone. Want to see how Tolf beat the Vasteras SK FK defense before the match was even ten minutes old? The goal is waiting in the highlights.
