Match Recap
Barau FC never let this one get away. J. Atule broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, and I. Ayoola put it to bed with a clean finish just past the hour mark, sending Barau FC past Abia Warriors 2-0 in NPFL action. The result stretches Barau FC's dominance over their visitors, who are still winless against them in their only previous meeting, and fits a form line that reads DWDW while sitting second in the table on 8 points from four games. Abia Warriors, by contrast, sit tenth with 5 points and a WDLD run that shows exactly the kind of inconsistency Barau FC just punished. League top scorer V. Mbaoma sat this one out, but Atule and Ayoola made sure nobody missed him, combining for a first-half opener and a second-half dagger that left the Warriors chasing shadows. Two goals, two different phases of the game, one team fully in control. Watch how Ayoola picks his spot in the 61st minute to seal it.
