Match Recap
Philadelphia Union produced one of Major League Soccer's more stunning second-half reversals, coming back from two goals down to beat New York City FC 3-2 and extend a four-win run across their last five games. NYCFC looked firmly in control: B. Traore struck inside four minutes, and Luighi added a second right on the stroke of half-time to give the hosts a cushion that seemed to settle the contest. D. Jean Jacques shattered that comfort immediately after the break, scoring in the 48th minute to make it 2-1, and then B. Damiani took over completely, finishing in the 69th and again in the 75th to hand Union a lead they would not relinquish. The home side had won two of their three previous meetings with Philadelphia, but none of that head-to-head edge counted for much once Damiani got going. Watch both of his goals and judge whether the second one, struck six minutes after the first, was the cooler finish.
