Atletico Nacional 3–1 Junior

Andrés Román's brace did the damage as Atletico Nacional pulled away from Junior 3-1 in Primera A. Nacional stormed out early: Andrés Sarmiento opened the scoring in the 8th minute, and Román doubled it just nine minutes later. Guillermo Paiva pulled one back for Junior at the 24-minute mark, but it only delayed the inevitable, Román struck again in the 71st to put the result beyond doubt. The win keeps league leaders Nacional rolling with three victories in their last five, while second-placed Junior, who arrived unbeaten in their previous three, saw that run snapped. It's a timely answer in a series that's been tight between these two, Nacional has won just two of the last five meetings. Neither side has a name on the league's scoring charts this season, but Román's night was a statement anyway. Watch Román's second, a finish clinical enough to settle a game that had Junior level and threatening just minutes earlier, in the highlights below.
